Brake Bleeding Question

I'm in the process of putting all my 7" stuff on my 2005 F350. I went ahead and ordered the ICON Stainless, extended brake lines. I have read several posts on bleeding the brakes. I have read a few places that you have to have a scan tool to unlock the ABS to be able to bleed the brakes. If I'm just taking the stock front brake lines off and putting the new ones on, do I have to go through all of that or can I just bleed them the old fashion way?

I just stuck a hose on the end of the bleeder, opened it up and then pumped the brake until clean fluid came out.
