Recommended 275/70r18 on stock Ford rim
Guys,
I may be moving to Texas and am looking buying a small farm/ranch. I need a good all purpose A/T tire as my truck will be used for the property, daily work driver and towing a sizeable fifth wheel (14k GVW). Being a 2000, I don't want to go any bigger due to rubbing (spacers may be installed later). Cost is not an issue, just good traction/tread life and low noise. I know a lot of us out there use our trucks like this and your opinions are welcome and appreciated. |

They're not the most "in" tire anymore, but one of the best A/T's out there is the BFG A/T. Good off road ability and good on the highway too. Also the best wearing A/T tire IMHO. I've never had a set last less than 50k miles, although I've never towed heavy on a regular basis with a set. That will naturally cut the life of any tire.

Another solid choice to consider is the Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10. This tire is highly reviewed and is pretty economical.
