do tires get any bigger or smaller when mounted?
I am trying to figure out what size tires i want by sitting them next to my truck. I think I am gonna go with a 38x15.50/20. I have 20x12 wheels and just wondering if they will get slightly bigger or smaller once they are mounted?

Well, due to the fact that you'll be compressing the tires a bit with the weight of your truck, I'd say they'll get a little smaller, but not my much. If you can visualize your truck sitting on the tires, with the tires just sitting/ standing next to your truck, that's pretty much what it'll look like when they're mounted.
