Break Pads and Rotors Sugg

Hey guys,

I am needing to replace my pads a rotors all the way around. I am asking to see what you guys think would be the best parts to run. I have a 6" lift on 37's and tow a lot (mainly a 30' travel trailer).

I would also like to know what brake fluid you guys like (I always use motorcraft). I will be doing a full brake flush while I am changing the brakes.

Thanks ahead of time guys.

Also, my tires rub my leaf springs on the front. Any suggestions on that would be nice too!

As far as rotors and pads go, Go with Powerslot Cryo treated rotors and Hawk LTS pads and you won't be disappointed. I'm running that same exact setup with 6" on 37's and it stops on a dime compared to stock form.

I'd also recommend some Stainless Steel braided brake lines if you don't already have them.

Thanks bro. I have SS lines on all my toys (street bike, dirt bike , and four wheelers). Would not have even thought of the old truck if you would have not said anything.

How much did that brake set up cost and you have a place you would recomend to buy from? Thanks again for the help.

For all 4 Powerslot Cryo rotors and a set of front and rear Hawk LTS pads was right around $1k shipped is what I paid. I highly recommend the Cryogenic treated rotors as it will be superior in helping to prevent warping, especially with the 37's. There's probably a sponsor here on the .org that sells them, but I dont know for sure. I dont remember the exact name of the site I got min from, but it took me almost 3 months to finally get them because they were back-ordered at the time, then needed to be sent off for the cryogenic treatment after they came back in stock; however, no one could beat their price though...

I went with the rotor-pros rotors drilled slotted and the hawk pads with stainlkess brake hoses. Like was said before stops on a dime and gives you a nickle back. Very well spent money.

i would only go with slotted not drilled rotors on our trucks.... with the amount of heat our trucks can produce because of the weight the drilled rotors will just crack...

that being said... go with cryo treated slotted rotors and hawk LTS pads... SS braided lines makes a big diff too...

if you need any prices feel free to ask
