How many miles do you get on your tires?

I've got some Les Schwab Wild Country SXT AT with about 35K on them and the tread is down to 30% or so. How many miles and what kind of tires is any one else getting?

When I bought my Hankooks, (appx. $190 ea.) it came to about $790 for the set, mount, balance, out the door. Hankook isn't always "advertized" in shops, so you might have to ask. I'm happy with mine, though I'm still pretty low on miles. (just over 10K)

As for mileage. Hankook puts a manufacturers warranty on the Dyna Pro M/T RT03 of 40K miles. Granted that's a warranty against manufacturer defects, but it also tells you that they expect these tires to last at least 30K-40K miles.

I've also heard of people getting a lot of miles out of Nitto Mud Grapplers. I think part of it, is that there's just a lot of rubber there to wear down. But, keep in mind that the Mud Grapplers have some of the worst rated highway mannors, shortly behind Super Swamper Boggers.

Here's a link to a website with reviews of A LOT of different mud tires. Hopefully this helps a bit.

After many many tire woes, I've decided that how long your tires last depends almost entirely on what kind of roads you're on, and how you drive on them. Also how often you load the truck down.

If you're usin Les Schwab, you're in the northwest and probably drive on a lot of twisting roads. That's gonna wear any tire you buy, unless you drive way slower than the locals. If you got 35k outa the tire you're runnin, and still have 30%, I'd stick with it. It's workin for you.

We really liked Toyo and Wild Country when I lived in Idaho.

I got 55k miles out of my last set of 37/13.50/22 Toyo MT's and they still had another 5-10k miles left on them. I liked them so much I replaced 'em with the same thing. So far, only 3k miles on the new set.
