Indeed. Small towns do have their benefits. The Hankooks handle very well in their stock setup, so I can only imagine how they'd be siped. Good stuff.

If you can't find a shop to do it, you could probably by a siping knife for a relatively inexpensive amount. Even if you don't sipe your tires very deep, it would still be an improvement, and you would have the satisfaction of having done it yourself.

Price was a major factor for me, and so far, these tires haven't let me down in any way. I'm happy.

Mike...Ive got them on my pickup for winter tires and this past winter with 140 lbs of sand in the bed i only used 4x4 twice all winter, great traction out of them and mineare wearing great. Ive also got Hankook AT's for the summer and they are a really nice tire too.

Thanks. So far, this will be my second winter with these tires, and I've been very happy so far. (though admittedly, my last winter had much more rain and clay mud than it did snow) But not being in Maine, I'm sure I'll see plenty of snow for winter.

I was looking at the Hankook AT's for my fiance's truck. She wants MT's, but the price difference is significant, and times are tough.
