This is my first truck, What are the best rotors and pads to go with right now? How are the duralast gold and max from auto zone? I don't tow too much, only a boat weighing about 4k with trailer.
I had to throw pads on one day after I contaiminated my OEM when a seal went those Autozone gold pads worked fine but left a dust that would cause surface fust on my rims and ate my rotor
i went all OEM rotors and pads after that and have been fine
I have had great luck with my EBC rotors and pads. I know I got their towing pads for extra duty I just can't remember if those were green or yellow. overall very happy for the price I paid.
Factory rotors and Wagner ThermoQuiet semi metallic here. A very good combination IMO, virtually no dust, good initial bite, and excellent power with no fade. I will likely run these again when needed.
i went with the full powerstop z36 brake kit front and rear. includes rotors, pads, and calipers. ive got about 4,000 miles on them and am very happy with them so far! pedal is more firm and i feel like i have just a little more braking power when towing. i dont usually tow on hills so i dont know if they run cooler or not, but im sure they do.
Powerslot rotors plus Hawk LTS pads is a good combination. Better braking performance than stock.
