How long to change head gaskets?

How long should it take for a cab on head gasket replacement?

I have an '07 6.0 and have had the head gaskets replaced for a second time. First time we installed an EGR delete, stud kit and Black Onyx gaskets which started leaking after 5,000miles. Heads were machined both times.

My issue isn't what is/was wrong with the engine but how long the mechanic charged to do the job.

Any help or examples of how long it normally takes would be much appreciated. Thanks Glen

Haha that is absolutely crazy. Tech that did mine had it done in 2.5 days. At 8hrs a day that's 20hrs. No more than 24-25hrs, had truck back the same week. Sry that happened.

Thanks. The mechanic estimated 20 hours when he took on the job but charged 112. I need some more replies to my thread so I can show the mechanic and try to negotiate on the hours.

There's more to the story the FICM packed up while the truck was being repaired so I got billed thousands trying to find the problem.
