Need Head Gaskets Replaced
Think the head gaskets are gone on my 06 F350 6.0l. Anyone know what parts and labour usually run for this repair? Thanks.

Depends on the shop and how familiar they are with performing this kind of repair on the 6.0L. I would expect at least $2k and likely more. If the head gaskets are gone, ensure they check the oil cooler and EGR cooler. The most likely scenario to blow head gaskets is a blockage in the oil cooler, which limits coolant flow to the EGR cooler causing it to rupture, leaking water into the intake and cylinders causing the head gaskets to blow.

That includes a quality egr delete, new oil cooler, ARP head studs, all gaskets, and a charge for pressure checking the heads, and machining them down. |
