Hi all:

New to this site so a howdy is in order. I hope some may be able to help. I want to install a special license plate holder that has a built in LED tail and stop, plus I am adding additional back up lights. The issue I am having is I am having trouble finding a steady on brake light source at the rear of the truck. If there is none is there a place with easy access to the 3rd brake light wiring so I can tap into it there? I really don't want to have to go into the roof wiring if at all possible.

Hope someone can help..

Thanks

PS Also does anyone have a good wiring schematic for the 2011 F350?

In a 99 there is a lt green wire that breaks out of the harness at the rear of the truck with the other trailer-tow wiring. The lt grn wire is insulated off, and about 3" long. It is a brake-only signal, same circuit as the high-mount third brake light.

I have no idea what color this wire or circuit is on a 2011. May be the same.
