How it was explaned to me when I had my E4OD rebuilt over the summer.
Flat land is OK for OD. When you hit the hills take the OD off. Unless it is gear hunting the turn it off. Also, to make note of the engine braking, I was told to turn off the OD before you top the hill, shifting out of OD while going down hill with a good load, can be very hard on the transmittion. And when it cost me $3,500 to build it. I want to be gental. |
