Flasher for Towing

OK, so I buy a 1996 E350 Van with a 7.3 for the expressed purpose of towing a travel trailer and a boat trailer.

For towing purposes I'm told that a "heavy duty" turning flasher is required because there are now 50% more lights that need to blink.

Well with the heavy duty flasher from Auto Zone installed, I can not fit the fuse panel cover back on because the new flasher is too big!

Now what?

Dick

A. Leave the cover off.
Or.
B. Cut a hole where the flasher is so the cover goes back on.
Or.
C. Find a heavy duty flasher that isn't so long.
