Hey y'all I am going to be hauling a car for about a 5 hour haul. I was looking into to how i should haul it. Im thinking of using a tow bar. The car I will be pulling is a rwd car and both the tranny and driveshaft are out of the vehicle, along with the motor (project car). Any thoughts if using a tow bar for this vehicle at this distance would be a bad idea or if I should go with using a dolly. thanks!
I HATE using them with our trucks. Its hard to see everything and they scare me. A friend had me tow her lincoln a few weeks ago and she wanted to rent a tow bar. I said I will only do it via flat bed trailer.
IMO - dont use a tow bar that long unless you want to be on edge the entire time. Your truck is big enough, get a heavy trailer.
Go ahead and rent a flat bed, tow bars are more a short distance or off road kinda hauling
