I actually went with the first option, the new sleeve, and it's been smooth hauling since. The sleeve installed in about 5 minutes and works great, I just wish that the base was slightly wider as my Holland/Brinkley hitch has plenty of surface area that isn't being used anymore (the kaufman's fifth king pin base covered more).

I got a price of about $575 for a hitch installed in my bed. Is this a good price? And also what are some opinions on that setup?
Thanks.

BG06, I know you're sold on the Goose neck idea but if you plan on hauling often, I'd recommend a fifth wheel for it's ease of use and quick connections.
I purchase and had my own hitch installed by the owner of Hitch Crafter of Lexington North Carolina...yes I drove down there.

They also carry gooseneck setups as well as air ride suspensions for everything...which I should have purchased.
Here's the exact hitch that I have and it is removable but no where near as simple to pull out as some goose neck options.
