Is registering your trailer in another state legal in yours?
I've seen some discussion about registering trailers "out of state", primarily Maine.

That site looks more for commercial use. I register my semi trailers in my home state which cost around 20 bucks or so and are good for as long as I own the trailer, no recurring fees. My car trailer on the other hand cost around a 100 bucks each year to renew. Why would you want to register your trailer in Maine?

All depends where you live.
Mass. $270 for plates annually, $125 ,for inspection annually versus $99 for plate for 5 years and no inspection. Almost $2,000 difference. |
