I don't know about all that, but I guarantee you that Dodge in the picture doesn't have a 48RE auto failure tranny pulling that load!

Usually it's Fords hauling everything - they've got the commercial market wrapped up.

Yeah I agree with Martin, I can't count how many Superduty work trucks I see everyday.. utility beds, dump beds, and pulling trailers.

I do see Dodge work trucks, and the occasional GM, but the Fords atleast in my area dominate.

Haha, I figured Id get replies like that. Nothin wrong with a little friendly rivalry eh? Around here, all the money is in the oilfield. Were in the middle of a boom right now. I pay VERY close attention to whats driven out there. 6.0 Fords and new 07 Dodges are about 50/50. GM trucks, very and far between. Anybody else, ha! The import trucks (that as everyone knows are actually American built...) wouldnt stand up to the rough roads/heavy loads, etc. that the Dodges and Fords do. At work, its all Fords and a dew Chevys. But rest assured, theres only two makes that can take the abuse; yall drive one, and I drive the other. The 6.0 and the spat with International has undoubtedtly hurt Ford though. I honestly hope they pull through and get their stuff together...

not to disagree but the dodges don't fair to well out here either. we have 12 dodge 1 tons with utility beds on them and everyone has been in the shop for tranny problem, 2 of em have new motors (under 100k) and 3 have thrown the driveshafts. I know it is mostly to do with drivers but my old ford with 200K + on the clock never let me down

where are you located stoke? what part of the patch are you in?
