Tilt Trailer Question - Converting to power up/down
My tilt trailer currently has a hydraulic cylinder with a ball valve that I can adjust for "tension". It is a simple design and works great under most circumstances.
When I load or winch a vehicle that is tail heavy I often have trouble getting the bed to go down. I have to open the valve all the way and it still might not be enough.
My plan is to add an electric pump and power the cylinder up and down. This is now an option on the really nice tilt trailers but I've never seen one. Does anybody out there have a power tilt trailer?
What size pump and cylinder does it use?
