Tilt Trailer Question - Converting to power up/down

My tilt trailer currently has a hydraulic cylinder with a ball valve that I can adjust for "tension". It is a simple design and works great under most circumstances.

When I load or winch a vehicle that is tail heavy I often have trouble getting the bed to go down. I have to open the valve all the way and it still might not be enough.

My plan is to add an electric pump and power the cylinder up and down. This is now an option on the really nice tilt trailers but I've never seen one. Does anybody out there have a power tilt trailer?

What size pump and cylinder does it use?

I don't know what is right I would just use the same size that is on there but double acting. as gravity will be helping. But to check surface area of the piston minus the cross sectional area of the rod x psi will give you pulling force of the cylinder. Now if you change to a 4 way 3 position NC valve you could use the pump that is being used to lift the deck

My dad has a power up/down dump trailer so I'm thinking of copying that setup. It is rated for 4 tons and the cylinder is much longer to raise the bed to 45+ degrees.

I'm assuming that would be more than enough to tilt this trailer.
