ATP Aluminum Diamond Plate Floor
I am about ready to order an enclosed trailer that will be used for all my hauling needs. Race car, general purpose, and maybe even RVing out of.
ATP aluminum diamond plate seems to be the most durable for its weight (steel would be the best, but too heavy). What are the negatives to this type of flooring? Your experiences and advice greatly appreciated. |

Well price and traction would be my concerns. I know its enclosed but a little fluid on metal (even diamondplate) makes for a slippery mess.

if you like falling on your azz when its wet, then get the aluminum. all our race trailers have either lino, bare wood, one has indoor outdoor carpet, and one is line-x. i would line x the ramp door for grip for sure. the nice thing with the line x is if they go up the side a bit you can pressure wash the inside out.

Linex gets my vote. My trailer came with a garage floor coating over wood
it is currently flaking off. 4x4 is necessary for the rare occasion I do load a vehicle.

The trailer in my sig has Diamond plate aluminium flooring and I honestly have had no issues and I really like it. However I spilled oil on the floor once and it was very slick.

Diamond plate floors look pretty but SUCK if they get damp at all.
