Turbo working right?

Howdy! I finally was able to use my truck to tow a 5th wheel 36' travel trailer (about 11k lbs.). I was driving about 70 mph w/ 2400 rpms and it sounded like the turbo was cycling on and off.... is this normal? The gauge was not showing any noticeable loss of boost.

Actually yes your fan will change speeds depending on the temp of the air blowing over the spring. The warmer the air the spring will unwind and cause the fan clutch to engage and speed up the cooling fan. Thats it in a nutshell its probobly alot more complicated then that!
