Cool Trans Command

I have a 2002 F-250 7.3L Automatic. I haul heavy and hard in the mountains, etc (horses).. Currently running a TS 6-chip, trans valve body mods, mag high-tec trans pan, piller gauges (boost, trans, exhaust) w/ forces air mods to the current air box along w/ a K&N filter.. Looking for a trans command unit that will manage shift points as well as since load and adjust the tranny accordingly when hauling.. Was wondering if the trans command by Banks would handle this type of work? Currently having problems with tranny not down shifting quick enough up and down inclines. Killing the motor going up unless I manage it manually and hard on the brakes going down agian unless I manage it manually.

Future mods include: Thottle body spacer, cold air kit, wicked (compressor) wheel turbo mod.. May look to do some custom tunes to the TS 6-chip for the tranny.

Any suggestions?

Are you running an exhaust brake? If you arent you could look at our brake and Towloc transmission controller. The towloc will do what you are looking for and then the brake is going to help you on the downhill slopes. You will triple the life of your service brakes. You can also set up in the towloc to have the converter unlock at a certain percentage of throttle application and also downshifting at different rpms. Give us a call at 800-887-5030 and we can discuss your options.

I don't know much about the banks, but I saw a deal about the throttle body spacer....I asked on here what people thought if it would really work, and most everyone I talked to said it didn't do anything since the air was fed into the turbo the spacer wouldn't really do much. Maybe if you search the threads you'll find one about it. You can make your own intake, there are alot of write ups on how to do it, and it work pretty good and is only $50-75.
This should be link DIY Intake

There's also a mod to turn your EBPV into an exhaust brake, that would help on the downhills. I'm sure there will be others along that can explain it much better than I can.
