Torque Converter Going?

Well its been a week since I got back from Colorado towing a couple Jeeps, and since I broke the Jeep everyday, I wanted to take a week off of wrenching....

Back on topic, when the truck is hot, and I am stopped on an incline, getting started again is a huge PIA. It doesnt really matter on what the load is, empty 34' trailer, or that trailer loaded with both rigs, it is SOOOO slow to accelerate. Similiar to a 2nd, or even 3rd gear start. The engine doesnt really rev like a slipping TC, either. I noticed this the previous trip up north, but hoped changing to Amsoil Synthetic ATF would solve it.....

There are no issues unloaded, smoke's the tires just fine....

Any suggestions?

It could be a t/c problem. The best thing to do would be to have the line pressure tested to see where you are at for pressures. This will tell you a lot. If your pressures are low, then you can drop the pan to see what type of material is in the pan. I would tend to think it will be more of an internal tranny problem, than a t/c failure.

It idles fine. My first post stated that the engine doesnt really rev up, but after a few more towing occasions, it definitely does rev up, and not go anywhere fast when loaded.
