Cushioned hitch?

hey all i saw this hitch
Convert-A-Ball Cushioned, Adjustable Pintle Mounting Bar for 2" Hitches - 10 Holes - 10,000 lbs Convert-A-Ball Ball Mounts AMPC3
and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with these type hitches, i have a solid mount right now with 8 holes but i need one with 10 and i was looking at this. i use it for towing my pintle trailer but the one i have now is a 10k limit with a 1 or 2k tongue, so this would be the same as the one above. i am just wondering if any one would think that it is still as strong, it says that it is 10k and 2k so that is why im wondering. also, if you have had experience with these type hitches then how much do they actually help? my trailer likes to jolt a little bit since it is pintle so would this reduce some of the jolt? thanks

I have one of these with just a 2 5/16 ball hitch. In my opinion you can feel a difference when stopping and starting. It is no so jerky for lack of a better word. I like it.

perfect, i think im gonna get it, thanks for the response. with my pintle it tends to be very hard on starting and stopping since it is allowed to move around unlike a regular ball and coupler. is the main block with all of the mounting holes strong? i was a little worried about it dropping down like that without much support. thanks

Mine has not let me down. I used it on my truck once to tow a Chevy 3500 CCLB with a duramax. Do not know what I was running for weight but I know there was a lot on the tongue. i was nervous at first put it held up fine for that. I think that is the heaviest I have towed with it.

sounds great thanks for all of the info, i decided to go for it and ordered mine last night, it was shipped today so ill post a pic of the trailer and truck and hitch when it gets in sometime next week.
