2008+ mirrors on a pre-08 SuperDuty

Maybe I've just not adjusted my 2005's mirrors correctly, or maybe the fact that the pass side mirror doesn't have the "objects in mirror may be closer than they appear" glass, but I have a hell of a time using my pass side mirror effectively.

For general use it's fine, but when I REALLY need my mirrors it seems that either the mirror is too short up/down or the lower part is too small or something.

That being said, I'm curious - Are the 2008+ mirrors any better? I notice that they look about the same size on the upper portion, but the lower mirror portion is noticeably bigger. To those that have used both styles, do you see a benefit with the new mirrors?

As far as putting the new mirrors on my 2005 F350, I'm trying to figure it out. Obviously they'll bolt on, but as far as hooking them up, I'm not sure what to expect. Is the wiring harness the same? My 05 has the power/heated/lighted mirrors. I don't care for the power telescope/retract features, but can they be made to work (and appear factory)?

I had the 07 tow mirrors before my 08's and man, there is pretty decent increase in visibility

i wouldnt say its a night and day but its deff BETTER than the older mirrors for sure!
