disconnecting 08 tow command

Has anyone disconnected the tow command system in their 08 super duty. I need to disconnect mine but my dealer is not sure that it can be disconected. I've heard some people just cut the blue wire but I want to be sure it will work well and no errors.

Any thoughts.

I have electric over hydraulic brakes on my trailer. These don't work with the tow command. No fix besides putting in an aftermarket controller.

Our T/C works great with our electric over hydraulic brakes.
