Towing with a 97 F350 CC LB 7.3L
I'm buying a 97 F350 7.3L CC LB 4x4 to tow my 31' travel trailer (8,700lbs) and was wondering how they are when completely stock. This one has 158K and has been maintained with the stock trans.
Thanks Joe |

I have the same truck and I tow a 30' toyhauler which is about 9800lbs unloaded. I had no trouble but it was slow. I added an cold air intake, exhaust and a Tony Wildman Chip. Made a big difference. As long as the transmission is still good you will be fine. I am at 187000 miles and do need a new transmission but the truck use to pull horse trailers and than the toyhauler its whole life. The transmission is the weakest link for that truck.
