Ya but the odds of that are slim since that would take alot longer than just taking the hitch out..

When your not towing, which is most of the time. Take it out. Then they cant steal it..Hmmm...Whats it take 2 minutes...

lol i like to leave mine on because ive had quite a few idiots rear end me on the free way in traffic so not moving too fast and they always hit my hitch..... so my truck stays safe and they get a big whole in the front of their car....

Been there. Went in to a convenience store when my truck was new to me and came out without my weight distribution hitch. Those were some expensive sandwiches I bought at that store!!! I didn't even realize the guy I bought the truck from didn't have a locking pin in the hitch. I just take that for granted. I lock all my hitches. Even the new one I now own several hundred dollars later!

I love the matched sets of reiever and trailer tongue locks that camping world and others sell. They work out nicely.

Didn't see this post but that's exactly why I like to leave mine in all the time. I call it an "anti-tailgating device". :boxing:
