2001 brake controller wiring

I just got a 01 PSD and it has an older brake contoller on it. I want to put one in it that I had in another truck. I'm not sure where the wires go that are on the plug under the dash. I didn't get any paperwork with the old controller. Does any have a diagram for the factory plug under the dash?
Thanks,
Ken

it should be an easy hook up. As the wires plug into the harness. That is under the dash you can see it if you lay on the floor board.

Your factory wires under thedash should have a plug(female) on the end of it. Kinda hard to get to, but it should be there. If it is, then you should be able to get a harness from the dealership that plugs into it, and then those wires are labled.

My controller doesn't have a factory plug on it. I'll splice it into the harness that is hooked to the old controller. That's why I need to know which wire is which. ie: +12v, brake controller, stop lite switch, ground.
Thanks,
Ken

3 wires, red 12volt hot, blue brake power lead, white ground.

If all else fails, go to the web site of the controler manufactor, they should have a diagram.

here is where they plug into the truck - the brown harness plug going into the grey factory harness (if you have the controller harness - otherwise will have to cut/splice wires)
