in those pics the emergency lever is on the bottom and front of the controller - but it makes it stick out of the cubby a little too far for my taste.

you're welcome for the pic and I have more of where it hooks in and all if you need them! Just let me know!

Oh alright, I thought it was behind. I only looked at the Prodigys online PDF instructions once or twice.

I'm good to go, all I needed was some mounting ideas.

I have off work this entire week (company summer break shutdown/vacation) and today I finally decided to mount my Tekonsha P3 thanks to Anthony (forddieseltweek).

Few questions;
Think I should mount it more level? Can I leave it connected all the time, will that hurt anything?

unless its telling you that it needs to be more level, then its fine... and I leave mine hooked up all the time. It just says NC for no connection if you mess with any buttons/lever -- man I need to upgrade!! That thing looks swweeeeet!

Only specific mounting directions I found;

The controller's screen isn't showing anything unusual to make me think it needs to be more level.

Generally it will say something in there about the angle or degree from horizontal that it can't be mounted over.... but mine is the older controller and if it is at too much angle, it will flash and let me know its too much...

its mounted in that same spot and no problems towing the 5th wheel this weekend...

The newer prodigys have built in levels and you must set them once installed and it uses that as the trucks level from that point foward. I splurged for the wire harness (10 bucks) they sell that eliminates any cutting (kinda like a radio wire harness to keep you from cutting any factory wires). I installed one in my last PSD and it increases braking on declines and decreases on inclines even mounted just like yours. Read the manual and see if you have to set the level on it...
