Generally it will say something in there about the angle or degree from horizontal that it can't be mounted over.... but mine is the older controller and if it is at too much angle, it will flash and let me know its too much... its mounted in that same spot and no problems towing the 5th wheel this weekend... |

The newer prodigys have built in levels and you must set them once installed and it uses that as the trucks level from that point foward. I splurged for the wire harness (10 bucks) they sell that eliminates any cutting (kinda like a radio wire harness to keep you from cutting any factory wires). I installed one in my last PSD and it increases braking on declines and decreases on inclines even mounted just like yours. Read the manual and see if you have to set the level on it...
