DAYYUUMM!! Marty, I know you didn't forget to thank THE MAN that night when you laid down. Seriously. The airflow might have started the occilation but, that much weight on the rear of the trailer acts like a pendalum.

You were lucky and got out of that without getting hurt or wrecking anything. Always put the centerline of the weight slightly ahead of the centerline of the axles on the trailer. Start driving at a decent speed and see how it feels, you can always move it back and forth if you need to.

If your trailer starts doing what it did in your situation, apply the trailer brakes, not the truck brakes till it straightens out. Also, anti-sway controls will help that situation from happening.

Glad everyone is OK! I know the pucker factor very well. Try going cross country with family, 29 ft travel trailer and a Nissan Armada for tow vehicle. Needless to say when we got back, we now own the Powerstroke.

I used to try to tow my Jeep and all our camping stuff across the US with a half ton short wheelbase K5 Blazer. It had a ZZ4 crate motor so power was absolutely no problem but, I would arrive so stressed out it wasn't worth taking off for vacation. A little reading up on how to correctly pull things and the right tow vehicle has made life so much easier for me. SuperDuty's rule.

The trailer had stupid "pulse" brakes - it's all my buddy had and I only had like a 2 day notice about going to get it. I wish it had real brakes otherwise I'd of felt more comfortable AFTER the accident!!!

I REALLY hope I can get the pics off the cd... but everytime I go to view them it says "can't repair data" which REALLY SUCKS.
