Very sturdy
My inlaws had a hitch built like that for their truck. When they have their 11.5' in bed camper on their truck they need an extention to go out to the back of it to hook up their boat or horse trailer. It is actually a really sturdy setup. Their horse trailer is a four horse so when fully loaded with horses and gear it weighs about 9-10,000 lbs. They wanted something that would hold the extra weight.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will never REALLY know for sure, but it is interesting trying to find out.
