Northern CA. performance shops

Hello all,
I am starting to get the idea that I may be doing a major performance upgrade to my truck.
I figure that either I buy a new 2011/12, or spend 1/3 the money and get the perfromance and dependability upgrades done right.
I will still have a 2004 6.0, but the "smog' issue doesn't exist, the registartion is less, and it's paid for!!!
I would like to talk to a shop about what am looking at to have this work done: engine, turbo upgrades, trans. upgrades.
I do most all my maintanence work myself, but raising the body, removal of the heads, trans work are all above my "expertise".

Where in Norcal are you at? There's a great shop in Klamath Falls that did the work on my truck. And if it's reasonable for you I can get you their info

You're not too far from me. I take my truck to Orangevale Diesel. The guy is a good guy and knows this stuff. This is a diesel shop. He does sell some stuff. Wouldn't hurt to run your list by him to see if he could help. OTOH, he might know of someone, if he can't.

I am in Sacramento area. But, I have property in Oregon, north of Redmond.
