Trader Rating

Alot of people buy and sell things on this forum, but it would be nice to have trader ratings for each member....Its hard to trust people that are new to the forum that are selling lots of things...I have seen several other forums where after you buy something from someone, you can leave a rating, that way other people know who to stay away from, and whos an honest person to deal with.
Just a thought.
Dan

If I remember this has been discussed before on here. This is one time where I kinda use post count to determine if I should buy from someone. Not using it to judge them but I bet I would be able to contact them through the site. Being a high post count usually means someone is pretty active on the site.

How do I determine if they are active look at there post average per day on there profile. Then compare that to there join date.

Not to argue, but it has been said many times as well that post count or post per day doesn't mean squat, I however think it does lend some credence.
I also think it would be a good idea to rehash, it's kinda boring tonight

How bout me? Im relatively new, but Ive already had several successful sales on this site. Of the 3 Ive had, 1 of them wasn't really sure about it at first, because I am a new member. Its just a thought, Id think its relatively easy to do, and could potentially save someone alot of trouble.

Not really, Ive seen it done before and talked to the techs who ran the site and they said it was pretty simple. After a sale, you would be able to post a review of the seller, maybe a short sentence about your experience, and than rate it as being a positive, neutral, or negative experience. You would get a point for a good rating, lose a point for a bad rating, and nothing would happen if you got a neutral. Than your trader score (1 number) could be displayed on your name...If someone wanted to read feedback on you, they could click on it, and see reviews of your transactions.

I appreciate the suggestion. As the staff, we'll discuss it and determine what our path forward will be.
