Just wanted to mention that the wife has gone out and bought all the stuff for our packages as well. They'll be in the mail by this weekend. Maybe I'll have her or my son take pictures of their boxes to share...

yall are awsome.... if you 've never been in those shoes...... you have no idea what it means to these guys. I was just there a year ago today off the coast of Saudi Arabia for 7 months and I know exactly what it means to them! I can get you an address for at least 90 sailors from HM-15 DET 2, in Bahrain. PM me and I can make it happen. Like I said, you guys rock for all the support! (go texas vets!)

Just dont bash the troops for doing the job they were ordered to do

I will get off my now take it for whatever you want

I'm deleting your posts Mike - APPARENTLY you didn't read the FIRST post so let me make this a bit larger for you:

Oh and since I get one or two folks who do it every time we do this, don't PM me telling me the only way to support the troops is to bring them home. My Admin powers are limited to the ORG, not the Federal Government, so this is the best I can do. Either band with us to help support them, or write the President, complaining to me is not an option.

If you've got anything else to say do it to me in PM's but don't disrespect my Troops thread with political crap.

As far as the packages and when we're going to do it again - anytime y'all want to! There doesn't have to be a special occasion, we can just set it up and do it.

Hey Guys,
I want to thank you all personally. I just got back from Iraq for the second time. My fourth trip total so far, and we are heading back early next year.

I can't explain how good it makes us soldiers feel to have people actually go out of thier way to do something for us. 9 times out of 10 even a kind word is a HUGE moral improver. Most of us grunts end up going out on patrol day after day getting blown up etc, and sometimes we wonder why. When we hear of the support we get from the home-front it makes it all make sense. I would rather fight it there then here.
Also makes us think of our lives back home (our trucks and what we want to do to them as soon as we get back!!!) so to all of you that are helping Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, or Marines remember a piece of home
Thank you
