nub question

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question, and i know that it is a nub one. How do you add a photo to either your signature or at the top part of your posts where it says your name?

Go to your profile and on the left it will say edit avatar then scroll to the bottom and you can browse your pics on your computer and then once you figure it out you can test it on the testing forum.
