Banning

We have banned a whole whopping six members in the last two months. You as members may think that is pretty heavy handed but I disagree. We take a ban as a last resort. I am not posting this to start any sort of pissing match I am simply explaining our position. We do not step into threads to debate. We step into threads to settle them down or because we are honestly interested. However when you start calling out the staff on our decisions we have to make a decision, we make those decisions on what is best on the membership as a whole. Not based on a vocal minority that are farming for any other site.

For those of you that think the Hottest Women thread is hypocritical, think about this. If I can't view the picture with my seven year old in the room it doesn't fly. That has always been my personal measuring stick because we try damn hard to keep this place family friendly.

Sponsors...

We do not defend them. However we will not sit on a thread that becomes a bash fest. If you have an issue with a specific sponsor please let us know and we will deal with it. If we can't then we will go public as staff (aka Cobb's). We are not here to let our members get screwed by anyone.

Premium Membership....

That does not buy you a free pass around the COC. Same goes for the Sponsor tag.

Well put Josh. I think a lot of the members who pay feel that they will be looked at differently when it comes to the COC. "Oh, I paid so of they want anymore money they will look past my violations." Not going to happen. The general population should know that we have the COC for a reason and that reason is to keep this site at a family friendly level. I'd bet half a years wages that not one single person that has registered with us in the last year has even read the COC. That's why they get mad when they get "Das Boot" for severe or multiple violations. Reading it is on them as far as I am concerned. As far as the few who are making a big stink about the bans, thus is a situation that in my kind is none of their business and if they don't like it, then they have the option to go elsewhere. I know not everyone on the staff side will agree with me on that but that is how I feel and I will be glad to show someone the door if they choose to cause issues over someone else's ban. We're all adults here and we should be able to self regulate. I doubt that will ever happen though with the many different personalities we have among us.
