Military Member Usergroup

Hey folks,
I have made some changes and you now have the ability to request to be added to the following usergroups. I have also added a usergroup leader to each of the usergroups, so that should give several members of the staff the ability to grant or deny permission to those folks requesting to join that meet the criteria.

Chapter Director - Abobb/Granny - usergroup leaders
Emergency Services - Dave
Military Member - westcoaststrokin

Individuals requesting to join those groups will need to go into their user control panel (user CP) and under Networking and Group Memberships, you will see the option to join group as shown in the pic below. The group leaders will verify that you meet the criteria and can add you to the usergroup. Let me (or the group leader) know if this is unclear or isn't working as expected.

usergroups do two things...first of all they have the "powerstroke whatever"...mod, tech...the banner that shows up by your name....secondly usergroups are what determine the different colors on the site....anyone in gray now will be a "millitary member"...you can actally have more than one usergroup. Click "staff" on top and it will maybe be clearer...but "sponsor, premium member, tech, mod, etc" are all usergroups...

I

just hope that by what we on this site try to do for our service men and women is enough to show that they are still fighting for a good cause. I know that when all they hear are politicians and reporters they may stray a bit. I sure am thankful for what they have done are doing and will do.

a picture of it with a digital camera would work just fine too...also, im the only one (or alan if anyone chooses to go through him) that will see any of the paperwork, but feel free to white out any info you dont want seen, you can do that in any photo program or word proccessor after its on your computer

Excellent idea Marc.. I really like it.

I hope our military members will take advantage... I like the idea of knowing who among us served. We all owe them a great deal, whether they saw combat or not.
