Why so hostile?

About 2 years ago after I bought my psd I joined the org under ksttac, I was a paid supporter. loved it. I didnt get on for a while and decided to rejoin. most people have been great but there sure are alot of people getting upset about duplicating questions, and placing posts in the wrong spot. I dont remember anyone getting upset about this couple of years ago.......dont know whats different. Sometimes people post in a hurry and they may post in the wrong place......or maybe they cant find the particular topic so they ask their question . I dont see the big deal of asking again. Still lots of great people and info tho. arent we all here for help and info????

The only time it really starts to bother me is when the same thread topic gets started like ten times in a matter of days, its not that hard to look in the appropriate area or tech section to find certain things so when multiple threads get started asking the same thing one after another it gets tiring to answer the same thing over and over

and some threads are just stupid and shouldnt be started like "how do I make smoke" that is just a dumb thread, start one saying how do I make some power out of my truck , a little smoke would be cool too and then youll get more positive responses, but just wanting to pour smoke out of your truck is dumb, it follows the principle ask a stupid question get a stupid answer

This sure is a different stance than MANY people had on this site not more than a year ago. I remember posting in several threads about people wanting more smoke but did not care about power to put a garbage bag over thier air filter. If I were not so tired I would go find the threads and post a couple here so some could read what they had posted in the past. Although I guess this is a "good" bandwagon for people to just on. JJ

I am in no way saying I dont like smoke and nobody should smoke with their trucks or anything, that would make me a hypocrite what Im saying is the constant threads about how to smoke a lot and stuff is just worthless, there is a search function or you could just search around and find one of the many threads on how to make smoke and the smart ways to go about doing it

Cause it's a forum. It's an online discussion site. Doesn't have to be about one thing. People have many tastes and want to talk about many things, not just diesels. It just so happens we all have a love for diesels in common, but also other things.

i see the frustration about the same questions over and over, i guess my point is if certain people have time to be rude in their post, then they have time to answer, or if its irritating then just dont say anything?

probobally a can of worms, not trying to get anything started was just noting the difference in the org of today vs. a couple of years ago

If Ive answered something multiple times I wont go posting something rude when its a legit question Ill just let someone else answer. The only thing Ill post a smartazz comment in is the how do I smoke threads. But if its a question of performance thats a different story
