CPS! Thanks!

Just wanted to thank the guys that helped me out with my stalling and burping on damp or rainy days. Changed the CPS last week and the last two days of rain and snow I put 426 miles on her and not even a hint of trouble. Tis is after it sat at a dealer for 2 weeks and they charged me $337 to install a exhaust packpressure sensor, and it stalled two days later. By the way, seems as if the CPS is now list price from dealer for $190 but can get it for $140. Got lucky and paid $109. Thanx again. My confidence has returned!

how like is it that a CPS will fail?? i have a 96 with 124k on it and it hasn't gone out yet................. (fingers crossed)

found one on ebay for $65.00. Have not had to change it out yet. I keep it in my glove box so ia can change it out when she goes out.

I got 140,000 and still on the stock one. Hence the one in my glove box.

it will go out one day...............buy a new one and put it in your glove box

I'm on my second one now. First one went right after I installed a Hypertech programmer at 40,000 mi. It woul spit and sputter and then just shut off. This time it would run great for weeks and add a little rain and a red light and all of a sudden she'd go quite on me.

just checked e-bay...cheapest on there now is $115. Guess I just got lucky a few months ago when I got mine

Glad this site was able to help you carts.

CPS is one of those goofy things.. sometimes they go out quick and often.. sometimes they last for a long time. I know my original lasted over 100K miles. When I started having problems, I found a pair on Ebay for $55 + a small shipping charge. Installed one of them, the other is in the glove box.
