Got my annual flyer in the mail for Fun Ford Sunday
- September 11, 2011 - Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo across from Six-Flags Discovery Kingdom.
Vallejo is centrally located for us NorCal-ers. Also could easily pick a place to meet others from your area and convoy there to meet the folks not from your area.
It is a show-n-shine type of show. Kind of low-key. No trophies for 'best of' type of thing. They do hold a raffle for 'stuff' and there is a club participation thing. They have a food vendor, but usually we bring our own, which they (FFS organizers) encourage for groups.
I've gone, in years past, with another website I belong to, but we can see about getting a bunch of us to go.
If Ford built it, it can come in. A big year model spread from old to new and it isn't just limited to trucks. A few years back, someone brought in a 1919 Model "A" or something. Several times, a local dealer has brought some 'new' stuff to slobber on. So...if you have a Mustang, for instance, and wanted to bring that, you could. The other site, in the past, has met @ McDonald's across the freeway for breakfast before hand and get everyone together to go in as a group. We could do something like that too if everyone wanted.
I'm looking at that weekend to see if I can or should go. My grandkids are here the second weekend of every month (which this is), but they go back on Sundays so....I may just say my goodbyes the night before and head down.
