Snow play
I am looking to take the dogs up to the Tahoe area for their first taste of snow...well one of 'ems first taste of snow.
I am planning on it just being a day trip, up sat morning, back sat night...coming from the east bay. But while I am up there, I wanted to see how this thing does in the snow...Every time I have been up to the mountains, its been perfectly plowed, right down to the pavement... Are their any OHV parks for trucks up there, or anyone know of any decent easy trails that are open? Not looking for a wheeling trip...just a bit of easy fun. The missus will get pissed if I take her to anything too crazy. I know it sounds juvenile...I grew up in the snow...(wife is a native bay area warm only climate type) Just trying to have a bit more fun than just opening the door and letting the dogs run around until they realize they are cold and then turn around and drive back home (that's what happened with the older dog way back when...) |

I live in South Lake and was directed to this Chapter today. You can find an OHV road that's maintained by the Hi Lo's club. It's at the corner on Sawmill Rd. and Lake Tahoe Blvd. Let me know before you make the trip and I can tell you if the gate is open or closed. I just realized you probably already made the trip...next time.
