Mount St. Helens
Am I the only Washintonian that remembers this historic event that took place 29 years ago today. Kind of reminds you that the planet has a way of scrubbing itself clean and rebuilding. Here is a vid of the eruption.

Yeah, the man was Harry Truman, an 83-year-old man who owned Mount St. Helens Lodge on Spirit Lake, was one of those who chose to stay. He became a local celebrity after refusing to leave his home and 16 cats, and later died in the blast.
He had some balls! |
