Tire advice

I am moving to the Seattle area soon, and I am getting a new set of tires tomorrow. Should I go with Nitto Terras or Trails? Most of my driving will be to and from work, but I do like to go hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc so they will see off road use on occasion. Will I need a mud tire up there? A/Ts Do me fine in TX, but I need a local opinion.

Ive lived in Lacey Washington and have 90% of my family still living their. I now live in Colorado. But IMO for a rig that see occasional off roading (of the type that most of us will do with out trucks) a good AT tire is the way to go. I run BFG A/T's on all of my vehicles. From my dually to my suburban to my 2012 f250 work truck that see's nuttin but off roadin. The BFG a/t for me holds up the longest. Does great in the ice and snow. Is decent in the mud and quiet on the highway.
Big thing with the 100% mud tire is they wear fast. And as Im sure you already know tires are spendy!

The trails aren't quite as aggressive as other MTs but they are far more aggressive than the Terras. I can't justify the cost of BFGs on an 18in rim.

Eta and I am looking at Lacey/olympia/yelm. I Will be there in January. What kind of snow should I expect in that neck of the woods?

like the other guy said not much snow at all if any, but your only 30 mimutes from Capital peak or an hour or so from playing in the olympics where you can find as much as you want

cant wait till you experience downtown oly for the first time lol

im lookin at the exact same areas for a new job and housing, i really like the area out the Delphi Rd or by black lake, maybe closer to Yelm, i want a view of the mountain when she blows, and it seems to be alot sunnier then living farther west past the Black hills

i dunno what tire ply is best for black rock but i would be more concerned about that if u plan on hitting the logging roads quite a bit. tires on our half ton work trucks did not last long..gotta love the schwabb warranty
