Here's the situation... I have a nice new-to-me 2003 PSD van. It has new green coolant in it, which I am reasonably sure is low-silicate... but I am not positive about what kind or how much coolant additive it has. (The mechanic who filled it is experienced in diesels and things are probably just fine, but since I don't have the jug to check, I want to verify this myself. Besides, I was a chemist and tests are fun!)
So, I need test strips. I can order them online, but I'd sure like to know what's in my coolant this weekend.
The NAPA strips test for DCA2 and I guess I can get those at retail. The Fleetguard test kits test for DCA4. I don't know where to get those or an equivalent at retail.
Does anyone know?
Thanks,
Matt in Woodinville
