I in no way hate the police. My pop is a retired cop. Just like Raul said the city police don't care never mess with me just this once with the state po po. Like any other job I think there are good ones and bad ones out there. I'll pay the ticket and not take the tint off.

I hate to say it when a STATE TROOPER is arrested for sexal assualt on a minor MAYBE we do need to keep them in check. Not all the apples are bad, but you better check your brothers.

Welcome to the world of a commercial truck driver. In my 20+ years of driving big trucks, I have not gotten a ticket twice when I've been stopped, DOT (license & weight) cops will find something wrong 99.9% of the time when they stop a big truck! Some times its a crock & some times its something I've over looked, but they will find a reason to justify their stop.

Every type of Employment has bad apples. It is just a way of life. Doctors, Lawyers, Factory Workers, Postal Workers, doesn't matter what your career is there is always a few bad apples.

But the media loves to high light police and fire fighters when they get caught doing something wrong. Society believes these people should be held at higher standards. Because they are either city, state, or federal employees. There for the media holds them at a higher standard. So when one does something wrong it comes back on the agency that they work for.

I will admit that there are some people out there wearing blue that should not be. But then again there are some doctors that should not be as well. I am sure there are some people that are in the wrong career field.

But please don't start bashing one career over another on here.

I've only needed the cops once and it ended up being the NYS Troopers that helped, after the sheriff's dropped the ball. I can also say that the tropers have always hbeen reasonable when they have pulled me over

I agree with you & I'm not bashing anyone, my father is retired Fort Worth PD, my step-dad is retired Texas DPS. I was in Fort Worth PD academy back in 2000 but had to resign because of bad knees. When is was interviewing for the academy they said when you become a cop your life is in a "fish bowl", everyone watches what you do & waits for you to do something wrong. I completely respect law enforcement & cooperate when I am stopped.
