Hampton Roads area diesel friendly dynos?
Anyone know of a dyno shop in the area that will take a diesel? Installed some performance parts and just curious what kind of power I'm putting to the ground.
Thanks in advance... |

For anyone interested, I found a local shop that is willing to dyno a diesel, but with caveats...Abacus Racing in Virginia Beach. I have a 3pm appointment today and I'll post up my experience and results.
Basically, they accepted my truck because I have the H&S programmer and I can lock the TC in fourth and fifth gear. They can load up the dyno, see the actual gear the truck is in on the programmer display, and roll in to it and get a good reading with the TC locked in fourth and fifth gear. I'll post up the graph and videos later... |

Already posted this in the dyno section, but following up here...
Alright, so I took my truck in today to get it dyno'ed and the horsepower number seems about right, but the torque number is way high (I think). Mods are in my sig and I'm running the H&S 300 Hot Damn tune with the TC locked in 4th and 5th. Here are the graphs... This was a run where the truck was brought up in fifth gear and then made the run... ![]() This run the guy had the truck in fourth gear and it shifted on him... ![]() Some pics and one vid on the dyno... ![]() ![]() Last edited by WydOpen; 11-06-2012 at 08:28 PM. |
