Hey buddy, welcome to the site.
I'm still new to this one too, I bounce around a lot also.
Wondering --- What do you know about Va. Inspections and exhaust requirements??
For now I just want to cut out my muffler until I get an exhaust, But not sure if I'll pass or not

Thanks,
chris

Exhaust in Virginia, Diesel do not need to meet emission requirements, meaning you wont even have to bother gettin emission test on your truck just the state inspection, also the exhaust has to exit behind the passenger cab. Im thinking of doing stacks on my 03. Currently Im 4inch Straight back to the end right now, not Kitty or muffler and the dealership hasnt said a thing to me yet about it.

I've been driving diesels for a long time, so I knew that we don't have to go through emissions, but I thought there might be an issue with the noise level. Someone gave me a link once to the Va. state code of blah blah blah. I thought it said something about anything louder than oem was illegal in Va.(of course that leaves it up to interpretation and opinion because it didn't give a decibal level).
It sounds like you've been fine with yours so far, so I may be wrong. Oh well wouldn't be the first time.

thanks,
chris

Do you know if anybody sells a muffler delete pipe for stock exhaust? what is that, 3.5"? You know how the pipe enters the muffler at the bottom, and exits at the top, is there a pipe you can buy that has that bend in it to match that?

thanks,
chris

I cant think of anyone you can try any custom exhaust shop or just buy yourself a cat back exhaust from MBRP.
