WTB: 22x11 or 22x12 Chrome 8x170 wheels locally...
I've been all over Craigslist and eBay looking for a set of 22x11 or 22x12 chrome wheels at a decent price, but no luck. There was a set of Moto Metal 950's, but the guy sold them to someone up in CT. I'd really like a set of 22x12 Weld Cheyenne 8's, but they are near impossible to come by. I was able to locate a set of 20x12's, but again the guy in Elizabeth City sold them.
My top choices... 1. 22x12 Weld Cheyenne 8 2. 22x12 Ion Terminator 3. 22x11 KMC Monster 4. 22x11 Moto Metal 950 My tax return comes this week and my lift is sitting in the garage. I'm itching to get it on, but waiting for the right set of wheels. Tires are easy and I'll purchase new (most likely 37" Toyo Open Coutry M/T or Kumho KL71). Any ideas/recommendations for local businesses? Thanks in advance! |

Well, I couldn't wait any longer to find a good deal on a used set of wheels. I pulled the trigger and purchased a new set of 37" Toyo Open Country M/T's wrapped around a set of chrome 22x11 Moto Metal 950's from a local shop. I still paid less than anything I could find through eBay or national chains for the same setup.
Wheels and tires should be here in 3-4 days. I'm having ORI in Yorktown do the lift install and it is scheduled for Monday. I'll post up pics when everything is done. My stock wheels and tires will be for sale next Tuesday if anyone is interested...$800 for all four wheels and tires. I'd say about 50-60% tread left on the tires and wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash (see my sig pic below...20x8 five spokes with Goodyear 275/65-20's). |
