what are you looking to get done? I have a personal guy that i use pay him cash usally works on the weekends and he has a lift and a shop too. He can do really anything has been working on ford trucks for years, helps me do maintence on my familys company trucks and is a good guy. If your lookking to buy things he can usally hook you up too. If you are looking for a more "named" shop trick trucks is off of 28 right at 50 look them up theres a bunch of great guys over there too.

Just bought this truck -- first diesel...

So I just need to find a good reliable and knowledgeable mechanic to keep this thing running. Seems the key is preventative maintenance, so I would like to find a mechanic that will get all my heavy work, but at the same time, teach me how to take care of routine or easy stuff.

Well Its a little from you its in Woodbridge Va about 30 mins or so south, Cowles Ford has taken care of my truck for over 4 years, and have helped with me throught out my problems with as much mods I have done they take care of me.

x2 for Hi Tech in chantilly!

I'll give them a shot, need some drivetrain and ventilation work done. 4wd won't engage cause the hub locks are stuck and dash/floor vents don't blow, only defrost vents.
