God bless that woman!!! Im really sorry to hear that not 1 single person in that restaurant didnt have a CCW. I just pray that if my friends and family and I end up in that situation, that I remember to grab my "right to defend myself and loved ones" out of the drawer before we go.

Glad I live in TX where we can legally conceal and carry - with a permit, of course.
I had a police officer tell me once that they liked conceal and carry. He told me of a time when an officer was pinned down and a man with a CC permit pulled his weapon and shot the attacker. Yes, this happened in the Dallas area a few years ago.

Who has rights?

This is the kind of people we need in congress!!
We, as voters need to know what our congressional candidates believe in before we elect them to represent us. As legislation (especially in the congress now) continues to try and take away our freedom to bear arms, I grow stronger in my belief of the second ammendment. Even the United Nations Council is trying to disarm the USA citizens. I say "stand for what you believe in". If you are not familiar with the NRA/ILA, I urge each one of you to learn about what they stand for, and support the cause. It is in our best interest for us and our posterity. If we don't stand for this cause NOW, our immediate and future generations surely will become defenseless (firearms wise - legally). Only criminals will own guns. Our pleasures in the shooting and hunting sports will vanish. ALL law-abiding American citizens have the right to protect themselves, their families and property! I believe strong enough in the right to bear arms, that in my lifetime, if they come to take my guns, it will require that they show up with sufficient force, because Surrender is NOT AN OPTION. 'Extreme Resistance' shall be encountered, as long as I am still capable of pulling the trigger. This, I state because of my belief, and the protection and rights of my family and offspring.

I wish I knew who said this as I don't want to steal someone elses words but "An armed society is a polite society". Just a side bar as well..........could those politicians have looked anymore bored while she addressed them? DIRT BAGS!!!
I will now relinquish the soapbox to the next speaker.

i think all of our military members can atest to this when i say the we swore to defend the whole consitution of the untited states...not just part of it...the sencond amendment is part of it and irreguardless of whether or not it was writen during a time when we carried firearms as part of our daily decor it is still the second amendment which tells me that when these guys were thinking up things that were the most important for this country they said we should have the right to say what we want and oh yeah we should be allowed to carry guns...these are the first two ammendments...the first two things that came to the minds of our founding fathers...so apparently they felt that those were the first two most important rights we can have. And i like that saying...an armed society is a polite society. Whats funny about it is that the guys who are the most law abiding citizens are the guys who are willing to go through the steps to obtain a CCW permit and carry a gun. Its the guys who get ahold of guns with serial numbers scratched off that cause all the problems and who obtain them usually very illegally yet they want to take the guns from the guys who actually abide by the law, yet the bad guys can still get ahold of guns in the same old illegal fashion. and more over just because it is an assault rifle doesnt mean anything...an m16 is a .223 caliber i have a hunting rifle chambered in .223 does that mean my bolt action hunting rifle is an assault weapon?
