Its mainly done to prevent heat soak of the intake manifold. Same concept as installing a phenolic spacer under cast intake manifolds. Guy basically had a nitrous backfire due to loading up the engine with no where for the nos to go. Last edited by OverkillMotorsports : 06-10-2009 at 05:36 AM.
